PHILLIP JOHNSON

Phillip Johnson grew up on the Six Nations of the Grand River reserve and is a band member from the Oneida tribe.
He is a senior health and safety/human resources professional with over 14 years’ experience in progressive roles within various private and public sector industries. He is currently the Senior Manager of Health, Safety and Compliance at Niagara Parks where he has worked for over 8 years.
Phil holds the Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation and attained the National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) in 2008. Phil graduated from the University of Fredericton’s Executive Masters of Business Administration program in 2018. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Brock University and certificates in Health and Safety and Human Resources from Niagara College.
Phil has a strong background in governance, human resources, leadership, and financial accounting through his professional experience and his time as a Director on the Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation Board and as a Governor for the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals.
Phil believes in giving back and has been a volunteer with Big Brothers and Big Sisters and has volunteer time as a former Alumni at the University of Fredericton during recruitment webinars.
