Darryl was born, raised and still lives on the Six Nations of the Grand River Territory. He is a Mohawk who has worked his entire professional career in various levels and aspects of First Nation government. He started out as a Capital Management Officer and then Funding Services Manager with Indigenous & Northern Affairs Canada working on various infrastructure projects. Darryl has over 30 years experience and has a diverse background and vast experience obtained while working with organizations such as a First Nation philanthropic fund, provincial aboriginal sport body, civil engineering consulting firm and First Nations.
Most recently, while employed as the Energy Planner he completed Six Nation’s very first energy plan. He is presently the Acting Director of Corporate Affairs and continues to be an active team member of the Six Nations Development Corporation energy team. Darryl is an active community member who has a long history of sports involvement in the community including hockey, lacrosse and golf. Most notably he was the Chef de Mission for Team Ontario at the 2002 North American Indigenous Games in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
