The Six Nations of the Grand River Economic Development Trust (EDT) is pleased to announce that no less than $1.3 million will be available for community investment for the 2024 calendar year. This is a result of annual distributions of surplus profits from the operations of the Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation (SNGRDC).
Applications will be released on www.sixnationsedt.ca on October 30, 2023. The pre-screening application deadline is November 24, 2023. Applicants are encouraged to take advantage of the pre-screening deadline to ensure that their applications are complete and have the greatest chance of success. The final application deadline is December 15, 2023, at 4:00pm.
“We are so pleased to be able to continue the important work of the Economic Development Trust in 2024 and beyond,” said Rachel Martin, Chair of the Economic Development Trust Committee. “We encourage all eligible community groups and organizations to apply and take advantage of this funding to continue to provide their valued services to the Six Nations community.”
Applicant presentations will take place on February 24, 2024. All successful applicants will be notified on March 1, 2024.
Since 2016, the EDT has invested over $17 million back into the Six Nations community. This funding is made possible through annual distributions of surplus profits by the SNGRDC.
