As previously announced in October 2023, the Six Nations of the Grand River Economic Development Trust (EDT) application process is currently underway.
The EDT received twelve applications with a total ask of $816,245.11 and has released the shortlisted applications inclusive of four General applications and eight Grassroots applications.
The shortlisting process consists of applications that are deemed complete, are within the scope of the 2024 EDT guidelines, and warrant further evaluation by the Board of Directors’ EDT Committee.
The funding distribution is then decided following the review and scoring by the EDT Committee as well as applicant presentations, which are taking place on Saturday, February 24, 2024, in the SNGRDC boardroom (2498 Chiefswood Rd). Applicant presentations are open to the public if they wish to attend, the presentation schedule is as follows:

Successful recipients will be notified by Friday, March 1, 2024, and must utilize funding between April 1 and December 1, 2024.

Since 2016, the EDT has invested over $17 million back into the Six Nations community. This funding is made possible through annual distributions of surplus profits by the SNGRDC.
