ECONOMIC INTERESTS
Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation (SNGRDC) manages the economic interests of the Six Nations Community for a number of renewable energy projects surrounding the Six Nations territory.
As of September 2018, SNGRDC’s current green energy portfolio is capable of producing nearly 900 MW of clean energy through our involvement in 13 solar or wind projects either directly (Equity Interests) or indirectly (Community Benefit Agreements).
GREEN ENERGY PORTFOLIO
Grand Renewable Wind is a partnership between Samsung Renewable Energy Inc., Pattern Energy, and the Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation.
SNGRDC Ownership: 10% Equity Ownership
Project Capacity: 149 MW
Commercial Operation Date (COD): December 2014
Post-Secondary Contribution: $400,000 over 20 years ($20,000 per year)
Grand Renewable Solar is a partnership between Samsung Renewable Energy Inc., Connor, Clark & Lunn, and the Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation.
SNGRDC Ownership: 10% Equity Ownership
Project Capacity: 100 MW
Commercial Operation Date (COD): March 2015
Niagara Regional Wind Farm is a partnership between Boralex Inc., Enercon Canada Inc. and Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation.
SNGRDC Ownership: 50% Equity Ownership
Project Capacity: 230 MW

Gunn’s Hill Wind Farm is a partnership between Prowind and Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation.

Project Capacity: 18 MW
