In 2018, the Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation (SNGRDC) began to redevelop Chiefswood Park into an immersive cultural getaway where guests can stay and play. Chiefswood Park is situated on 20 acres along the Grand River and is adjacent to Chiefswood National Historic Site -birthplace and childhood home of E. Pauline Johnson.

Geographically located just outside the Greater Golden Horseshoe, Chiefswood Park is in close proximity to major markets in Ontario, with easy access to the 400 series highway. We are located within a 90 minute drive to the USA border and major airports in both Toronto and Hamilton. The park is nestled along the Grand River – a Canadian Heritage River- which is synonymous with the rich history of the Six Nations and located within one of the last remaining Carolinian forests.

Chiefswood Park is a world class cultural heritage destination that offers a variety of product experiences aiming to teach guests about authentic Haudenosaunee culture. Beautiful, cozy, cottage accommodations inspired by the era of the 1860s ties the park in with Chiefswood National Historic Site located on the adjacent property. Chiefswood Park is where Six Nations welcomes the world and is sure to provide an unforgettable experience for everyone.
