This round of funding will be available to both general and grassroots applicants. $399,599 has been allocated to general applications, while $60,000 has been allocated to grassroots applicants. This funding is a result of annual distributions of surplus profits from the operations of the Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation (SNGRDC).
Applications are now available online at www.sixnationsedt.ca. The final application deadline for general applicants is Friday, April 24, 2026, at 4:00pm, while the final deadline for grassroots applicants is Friday, May 1, 2026, at 4:00pm.
Organizations that are eligible to apply for grassroots funding include established volunteer groups or organizations that do not have regular employees. This application is designed for those who have a group or organizations who work on a task or project without salary or wages, would not have a registered board of directors, and may not have audited financial statements to provide. The maximum amount of funding available to each grassroots applicant is $15,000.
The general application is intended for organizations that have regular employees, a Board of Directors, and audited financial statements.
Since 2016, the EDT has invested over $25 million into the Six Nations community. The EDT’s funding is made possible through annual distributions of surplus profits from SNGRDC. For more information on the EDT, including application guidelines and past recipients, please visit www.sixnationsedt.ca.
