OHSWEKEN, ON, May 30, 2025 – Chiefswood Park, a division of Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation (SNGRDC), is proud to announce its designation as a preferred vendor by Girl Guides of Canada (GGC) for their Outdoor Experiences program. This exciting partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), signed on March 26, 2025.
As a preferred vendor, Chiefswood Park will be listed on the official GGC website as a trusted and vetted location for outdoor experiences. This partnership will simplify the planning process for Girl Guides of Canada units, offering GGC members easy access to book facilities and a variety of activities at Chiefswood Park during the operating season.

According to a 2018 study by Guides of Canada, girls are twice as likely as boys to report experiencing sexism, and many feel that gender inequality has impacted their lives. Notably, 88% of girls who identified as Asian, Indigenous, or Black agreed that it is important for girls to have access to spaces dedicated to them. By partnering with GGC, Chiefswood Park aims to support the empowerment of girls aged 5-17, helping them overcome barriers and gain access to safe, enriching outdoor experiences.
